LuAnn Thoma-Holec, ASID, has a passion for the design of comfortable, functional, non-institutional living and recreational environments for seniors. She has gained nationwide attention within the business and design communities for her ability to merge her clients’ objectives and aesthetic preferences.
Since 1996 she has specialized in the design of senior housing and long term care communities and has received impressive recognition for her innovative work in this arena. Awards include the Designer of Distinction and Medalist awards from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Silver Awards from the National Council on Senior Housing. She has served on the National Board for ASID as well as a two-year term as the ASID National ethics chairman and a past position on the ASID Council for Aging in Place. She currently has a position on the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).
Ms. Thoma-Holec received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design and Museum Arts at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and will complete a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology at Arizona State University.
