LuAnn

McDowell Village ModelAs principal owner, LuAnn is responsible for the implementation of all design criteria and management of all senior living interior design projects. LuAnn formed Thoma-Holec Design LLC in 2006 after completing a successful partnership with MGA Interiors, LLC. LuAnn’s passion for the senior care market was instrumental in her decision to launch a new company that would focus exclusively on interior design for seniors. Her thirty year experience in new home marketing centers, model merchandising, private residential and hospitality settings support her ability to create home-like senior care communities that are marketable, on budget, and comply with the social model for senior living.

LuAnn is an Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) board member, a past National Director at Large of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and past President of the Arizona North Chapter (ASID). She is credited with the prestigious Designer of Distinction, five silver awards from the National Council of Senior Housing and numerous ASID Awards of Excellence in hospitality, model merchandising, and senior care. LuAnn is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Assisted Living Federation of America, American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) and the 50+ Housing Council. She is NCIDQ certified, licensed in the state of Nevada and certified in the state of California, and is CAASH (Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing) certified.

LuAnn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and Museum Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a graduate certificate in Gerontology from Arizona State University. She is a candidate for LEED AP certification.

Stacey

Since elementary school, Stacey has been interested in art on many levels and captivated by the field of interior design. Stacey has pursued that creative passion and has made it a reality by first attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY and then by graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in interior design from the Art Institute of Phoenix in 2005. Stacey is currently a candidate for LEED AP certification.

Stacey’s experience includes design in the model home merchandising industry with MGA Interiors LLC but realized that her true passion was working in senior living interior design. Stacey’s responsibilities include all facets of the interior design process including specification of finishes and furnishings, procurement, project management and installation.

Carol

Carol, with over 15 years experience performing accounting and bookkeeping functions for interior design firms, is responsible for all internal accounts payable, receivables, and procurement tracking. Prior to joining Thoma-Holec Design she was employed at MGA Interiors and Habitat, Inc. in the accounts payable department.

Jill

As a student intern and assistant designer, Jill is responsible for administrative functions, specification implementation, library maintenance, data entry and assisting in all aspects of the design process. Jill is currently a student at the Art Institute of Phoenix where she is majoring in Interior Design. She is pursuing a four-year degree in interior design and desires to specialize in health care design.

Tim

As a Project Designer for Thoma-Holec Design, Tim is responsible for the concept designs of specific projects requiring illustration, space planning, millwork design drafting, material selection and computer modeling. He primarily focuses on space planning, architectural detailing and millwork design.

Prior to joining Thoma-Holec Design, Tim held a position encompassing the same responsibilities at Multi Graphic Arts, Inc. and Habitat, Inc. Preceding this he accumulated 11 years in the hospitality industry at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Arizona State University and also attended Northern Arizona University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in American History.

Alex

As a consultant, Alex provides meticulous construction documents and is capable of surveying as-built conditions which is invaluable for our re-models. He may provide project management and can develop color renderings. We presently work with AutoCAD 2010 as well as Adobe CS4 in order to provide you with the latest software.

Gary

As a consultant Project Designer for Thoma-Holec Design, Gary is responsible for individual project design from conceptual design through design development. His particular responsibilities are space planning, furniture layout, millwork design and materials selection for projects requiring both standard and barrier-free/ADA accessibility applications.

Prior to joining the Thoma-Holec Design team, Gary’s 20-year design experience combines both architecture and interior design within the hospitality, residential, commercial and entertainment venues. He holds multiple certifications and is degreed in both architecture and interior design. He continues to supplement his education each year to remain at the forefront of each discipline. Gary holds certification through NCIDQ as an interior designer. While initially working as a multi-disciplined architect, his true passion turned toward interior architecture/design. He continues to create designs that marry both architecture and interior design in a manner that has won accolades and respect from his peers. His design focus is on advocating urban renewal, sustainable “green” design, barrier-free/accessibility design, as well as other progressive design applications that are pertinent in the modern design climate.

Mike

An efficient and organized installation is one of the keys to Thoma-Holec’s success. Mike is responsible for the furniture, artwork and accessory installation teams and is onsite at each installation. His personal involvement with the placement of furnishings and artwork enables the install to complete in a timely manner with quality control foremost on his agenda. Prior to joining Thoma-Holec Design, Mike was part of the management team at Lynch Furniture Handlers. A veteran of Desert Storm, Mike enjoys his family and loves spending time hiking, skiing, and any outdoor activity.

Steve

Steve’s responsibilities include consulting on an as needed basis on AutoCAD documents including preliminary design and construction documents. As an industrial designer with a background in the exhibit design field and museum interpretive design, he has expertise in project management, signage design, millwork fabrication, and graphic design.

Steve is a licensed local pastor of the United Methodist Church specializing in pastoral care. His spiritual guidance and understanding of the frailty of the senior population assists him in his ability to assist in design considerations for seniors that function for all senior impairments.

Cricket

As our marketing specialist consultant, Cricket is involved in all aspects of Thoma-Holec Design. She specializes in strategic planning and execution, marketing and consulting, creative direction and design and project management and organizational skills. It is her lifelong interest in art and design that enable her to find innovative ways to determine our needs and communicate key messages for Thoma-Holec Design. Her personal core values of excellence, contribution and full self-expression make her a valuable team member.

Cricket has a track record for growing sales, market share and profit. She is highly skilled at concept development and consultation, project management and identification of ways to effectively solve any marketing projects’ goals. She brings the full force of her talent when articulating and disseminating the Thoma Holec Design vision.

C.W. is a CPA and is our Certified Public Accounting firm responsible for all accounting functions, payroll, tax, and administrative functions of Thoma Holec Design.
