Accolades for Design Innovation...

Judge Comments for The Friendship House at Royal Oaks: “The contemporary prairie design of this stand-alone memory care facility uses natural and textural finishes to enhance the surrounding mountain views and landscapes. The open design featuring floor to ceiling window walls and beautiful outdoor courtyards and balconies provide residents with a seamless opportunity to enjoy outdoor living spaces. The elegant and colorful décor stimulates the mind and senses. Designing four “neighborhoods,” each with theme and color scheme unique to their own is a thoughtful way to provide different emotional experiences whether energetic and lively or peaceful and calm. Each neighborhood also has defined spaces for cinema/media, meditative/spiritual, dining and activities, and cooking and laundry.”

Prestigious Competition...

Now in its 52nd year, GNA is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development and specialty housing categories. Winners this year were chosen from 635 entries from around the world.
