This month we have two historic events to celebrate. One of course, is July 4th, Independence Day. The other is the 10th anniversary of Thoma-Holec Design, LLC!
There’s some irony in reflecting on independence in that Thoma-Holec Design, LLC is extraordinarily focused on designing interiors with an emphasis on senior’s independence. And we have been doing so for over ten years!
In 1996, after having accumulated over twenty years of practical experience in the design field, LuAnn Thoma-Holec launched Thoma-Holec Design, LLC. The new firm was established to leverage ten years of design experience specific to the senior care interior design market and a master’s certificate in gerontology. The new firm would be the vehicle whereby her passion for designing environments for seniors would find expression.
LuAnn’s first opportunity to be involved in design for the senior care market came through a fortuitous relationship with a client who was developing a new project: Las Fuentes located in Prescott, AZ which began operation in the fall of that year. Las Fuentes opened to rave reviews and multiple local and national design awards and touted 100% occupancy within six months of opening.
T-HD has since grown to twelve team members, a 4300 square foot office and studio, and design accolades too numerous to mention.
With senior communities located in over twenty three states and three provinces in Canada, Thoma-Holec Design, LLC continues to provide seniors with environments that afford them the opportunity to experience purpose, independence and dignity.
Judges for the 2016 Gold Nugget Awards have named Thoma Holec Design, LLC as a recipient of three merit awards in its annual competition which honors architectural design and planning excellence and draws entries from throughout the United States and internationally.
